Thank you very much to everyone who participated in StoryCorps at SPL, by conducting and facilitating interviews and by sharing your stories. This was a great project and we could not have done it without you.
We'll be having a listening party for the public later this summer. Stay tuned.
And thank you again.

Do you have a story you would like to share? Do you know someone with a story you want others to hear? Come to the Central Library this Saturday to tell your story or help someone share theirs. One of our volunteer facilitators will be ready and waiting from 11 am on.
This is your chance to have your voice heard and tell your story. And if you give permission, a copy will also be archived at the American Folk Life Center at the Library of Congress.
Don't pass up this chance!

Somerville Public Library is one of ten public libraries in the United States to be selected as a StoryCorps @ Your Library pilot site. Through this oral history project, we aim to record the stories, thoughts, and ideas of a diverse mix of 30-40 Somerville teens. Teens may be interviewed by or interview friends, family members, mentors, etc. Trained community facilitators will guide the interview process and handle all technical aspects for a comfortable interview experience.
