All the Ugly and Wonderful Things

Have you ever read a book and felt like you just finished a really good and satisfying novel? The words were just right and the text just rolls. You can't put the book down. Well, if you're looking for a book like that, I would recommend All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood. This Goodreads Choice Awards Best Fiction book, is about an unlikely relationship between a young girl and a man set in a small town in the Midwest. Wavy, the main character, is a young child living in a meth lab crack house, with a neglectful mother and an abusive father. The incredibly intelligent and quiet child takes care of her younger brother and forms a strong relationship with one of her father's workers. This story follows Wavy as she grows into adulthood and describes her trials and tribulations from having an emotionally distant family.

I would recommend this new novel to anyone who likes to read fiction, I found it both fascinating and intriguing. If you have already read All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, try checking out Bryn Greenwood's other novels here.
