If you're looking for something to do, we have some fun programs coming up here at the Central Library. Tonight at 7:00 p.m., the Mystery Book Club is meeting to discuss Chance, by the late Robert B. Parker. New members are always welcome, so why not stop in? Tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., we'll be screening Delusions of Grandeur (La Folie des Grandeurs), an unjustly forgotten comedy classic by French director Gérard Oury. The story is set in 17th-century Spain, where corrupt money-grubbing tax collector Don Salluste hatches a plan for revenge after being fired and driven into exile by the Queen. Eager for her public humiliation, Salluste recruits his inept manservant Blaze to pose as an aristocratic Casanova and seduce the Queen - only to have the couple fall unexpectedly in love in a deliriously farcical turnaround. Fueled by impeccable period-piece production design and effortless slapstick, this is absurdist comedy at its finest. Finally, on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00, Rob Logan will be here with his always popular Art Cards program! Rob supplies all of the materials, and you just bring your imagination to make one of a kind mini works of art that you can keep or trade. If you can doodle, you can do it! All ages are welcome to this event, which is funded by the Somerville Children's Network, an all volunteer, parent-run, 501c3 non-profit organization that works in collaboration with schools, city, community, and civic organizations to provide enrichment opportunities and support Somerville Public Schools, to nurture Somerville families, and to build community. These events are free and open to the public. If you haven't visited us lately, come on by. The Library isn't just about great books, movies, and music that you can borrow, and it's not just about free Internet access, tax forms, and trained, friendly people ready to help you find information on any topic you can think of - though all of those services are available here. The Library is also a place to get together and enjoy all kinds of activities with people in your community! Come join us!
