The Children's collection encompasses a wide variety of nonfiction and fiction in all genres, including picture books, easy readers, chapter books, popular series, graphic novels, and more.  We also have a selection of books in world languages including Albanian, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.  TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.


In the Children's Department you can find a number of magazines geared for kids from babies to middle school age.  Below is the list of titles to which we currently subscribe.  These magazines can be read in the library or taken out for one week at a time.

The Children's Room has a collection of audiobooks on CD, Playaway (audiobook/player in one), and Read Alongs (books and CDs packaged together). 

Overdrive: Also known as the Digital Media Catalog, Overdrive provides access to popular ebooks and audiobooks and includes great collections of fiction and nonfiction especially for kids.  It's easy to create a free account using your library card and start dowloading the books you want to read or listen to.  If you need help, a librarian will be happy to assist you!
