News for You offers easy-to-read news stories that can help you learn to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Seven new stories are posted each Wednesday, along with audio, exercises, vocabulary, a crossword puzzle, a word search, and a poll. Listen to each story in full or sentence-by-sentence.

You can access the full News for You website using the password: C7541D

A "language lab" type database (Mango Languages) that you can use at home through your computer to learn and practice English.

The Mango Languages database offers language training and practice for English for Speakers of Other Languages.

To access the database:

  • Click on the Mango Languages picture above, then click "Guest Access" to create a profile.
  • On the next page, there will be a list of languages.
  • Click on English (or any other language you would like to learn), then choose your native language to begin your lessons.  For example, if you speak Portuguese, you will choose "English for Portuguese Speakers".
