The Somerville Public Library is delighted to announce an open call for artists and vendors for the 2023 Comix Con. Submissions will now be accepted on a rolling basis through May 5th.
Works in all media will be considered, with a priority for comic and fandom related art. Artists, crafters, and authors are welcome to submit. Somerville residents or organizations serving the Somerville community are encouraged to apply.
Selected vendors will have a table for 1 or 2 persons in Wellington Hall at the Central Library during the Comix Con event on May 20th, 2023, where they will be able to sell their work.
Vendors for Comix Con will be selected on the basis of:
- Quality of the artist's work
- Closeness to themes embodied by fandom and comic content
- Diversity and balance in vendors
- How closely the work aligns with Somerville Public Library policies, and
- Benefit to the Somerville community
In order to be considered, artists must submit an application through our Google Form.
We would like to thank all artists for the care and time taken in submitting applications. All artists will be notified within two (2) weeks of their submission.
