Summer Reading
The Teen Department is the place to go for summer reading. The Somerville Public Library has multiple copies of almost all of your summer reading needs.

These books are no longer available at the Circulation Desk of the Somerville Public Library (on the first floor), but are now on a cart next to the Teen Fiction area in the main reading room (Wellington Hall) on the second floor.

We also are the place to go for other summer reading lists. There are copies of the summer reading lists for most of the area high schools and junior highs available upstairs in the library at the Reference Desk. The books from these lists can be found in the Teen section of the library.

Sometimes you want to read something different, something not on your "required" list, and we are there to help you with that too. Along with all of the reading lists provided by the schools, we have lists from "The Best Books For Teens" going back for several years. There is also always a librarian around to help you pick out something good for you.

If you need help finding a book, or even finding out what book you need to read, please ask a librarian at the Reference desk, or check out the lists we have here:
