PHAROS instructions:
At the queue station you can choose to sign up for an internet computer NOW or LATER. NOW - If you choose this option, you will be assigned to the next available compuer.
LATER - If you choose this oiption, you can sign up to use a computer later that day or for a time on the following day. Please note that only one reservation can be made at a time.
You will not be able to select a particular computer to use when signing in at the queue station. To sign up for a specific computer when you are in the library, please see a librarian at the reference desk. You may sign up for the Internet by phone. You must have a library card to do this. You may sign up for a specific computer when making a phone reservation. Internet use will be limited to 2 hours a day, but you may only sign up for 1 hour at a time. Internet reservations will be held for 5 minutes. Near the end of your session, you will be given two warnings that your time is about to expire: the first, 10 minutes before the end; the second, 2 minutes before the end. Before your session is over, you will be given an option to extend your time by 15 minutes. This option will be available only if no one else is waiting to use a computer and if you have not reached your two-hour a day limit. Please be aware that the extension of time of 15 minutes may be cut short if the computer sign-up station becomes busy. If that occurs, you will be given a two minute warning to log off.
